Barnsley Wednesday

The Barnsley Wednesday group meets in the Dorothy Banks Room at St Thomas' Church Hall on Church Street in Gawber, just outside the town centre, starting at 7.30pm and running for about an hour and a half. Al-Anon Family Groups supports anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, whether as a partner, parent, adult child, sibling or friend, with the meeting focused on the person attending. As an open meeting, newcomers and visitors are welcome alongside regular members without any prior connection to Al-Anon, and no one is required to speak. Gawber is a short drive or bus ride from central Barnsley, and once inside the church hall the meeting uses the named Dorothy Banks Room specifically.
