About this meeting
In the Anniesland area of Glasgow, Al-Anon Family Groups meets every Thursday at 7.30pm at the Methodist Worship Centre on Sutcliffe Road, running for about an hour and a half. The fellowship is for anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, covering partners, parents, adult children, siblings and friends, with the emphasis kept on the person attending rather than on the one who drinks. Because it is an open meeting, newcomers and visitors are welcome without needing to already identify as Al-Anon, and no one has to speak if they would rather listen. The group draws members from across west Glasgow and further out towards Renfrew, giving people in that part of the city a regular Thursday option.
