Alvaston Living Sober

Alvaston Living Sober meets on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm at Alvaston Methodist Church on Brighton Road, Derby. The name comes from the AA booklet Living Sober, a plainly written collection of practical methods members use to stay away from a drink, and the meeting has the same down-to-earth focus. It is an open meeting lasting one hour, so anyone is welcome, including family members, friends and professionals as well as people who want to stop drinking. The church is wheelchair accessible. There is no cost and no booking; the early evening start and one-hour length make it straightforward to attend after work and still have the rest of the evening.
