Woodbridge Methodist Church on St John's Street hosts an open Alcoholics Anonymous meeting every Friday at 7.30pm, running for about an hour. Because it is open, anyone can attend, including people supporting a friend or relative who has a desire to stop drinking, as well as professionals with an interest in how AA works. The venue is wheelchair accessible, so it suits members and visitors with mobility needs. This Friday evening slot is one of several AA meetings held at the same Woodbridge church across the week, each covering different formats and times. No previous experience of AA is needed to come along, and newcomers are as welcome as long-standing members.
