About this meeting
The Women's Big Red Book Meeting takes place online every Tuesday at 7pm, UK and Ireland time, working steadily through the Big Red Book, the core text of Adult Children of Alcoholics, from a woman's perspective. Passages are usually read aloud and discussed, giving structure to what can otherwise be a difficult subject: how growing up with a parent's drinking or other family dysfunction continues to affect adult life. It is an open meeting, so women new to the fellowship are welcome alongside those further into their recovery, and friends or professionals with an interest may also listen in. There is no need to have read the book in advance.

Going to your first meeting?
Walking into a room for the first time is the hardest step. Foundations, our plain-language introduction to recovery, was written for exactly this moment — what to expect, what the Steps mean, and how to begin.
