West End Just For Today Candlelight

West End Just For Today Candlelight meets on Friday evenings at 7pm for an hour at Hinde Street Methodist Church on Thayer St, closing out the working week with a quieter, more reflective format than some of the area's other Friday meetings. It is an open meeting, so anyone can attend, whether or not they have a desire to stop drinking, including people wanting to learn more about AA before deciding whether it is right for them. The candlelight setting is a recognisable format used by Just For Today groups elsewhere, built around calmer sharing rather than louder discussion. The church also hosts several other AA meetings through the week, including lunchtime and morning sittings on different days.
