Walthamstow Big Book is a lunchtime study meeting, held every Thursday at midday at Our Lady and St George's Church Hall, 132 Shernall Street, and lasting an hour. The group reads and discusses Alcoholics Anonymous, the Big Book, which sets out the Twelve Step programme; hearing it unpacked line by line is a practical way to understand how recovery actually works. It is an open meeting, so anyone can attend, including family members, friends and professionals alongside people with a desire to stop drinking. The hall is wheelchair accessible. There is no charge and no booking, and you do not need to own or have read the book to come along.
