No. The meeting is for you, in your own right, and many people attend entirely on their own. The person whose drinking has affected you never needs to come along, and does not even need to know you are going.

Do I need to book in advance, and does it cost anything?

Al-Anon meetings are always free to attend, and there is no booking system, so turning up on Monday at 1pm is all that is needed. The meeting lasts around an hour and a half.
