Upshire Step

Upshire Step meets on Tuesday evenings at 7.30pm in the Village Hall on Horseshoe Hill, opposite the Horseshoe pub, near Waltham Abbey. Over an hour and a half, the group works through AA's Twelve Steps, reading and sharing experience of how each one works in practice, which gives the meeting a clear structure week to week. It is a closed meeting, which means it is reserved for people who have, or suspect they have, a desire to stop drinking; anyone wanting to attend in support of someone else is asked to choose an open AA meeting. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for the hall. Attending costs nothing, and there is no booking; the landmark pub opposite makes the hall easy to find.
