No meetings on Bank Holidays. Trad. meeting 2nd Monday of month.
The Phoenix Group's week of lunchtime meetings ends on Friday at 1pm, again at Cuman Iosaef, Community Centre, Cahersalee Road, Balloonagh, Tralee. This is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, for those who share a desire to stop drinking, free to attend with nothing to book in advance. Friday completes the group's run of five weekday lunchtime meetings, all held at the same venue, with no meeting held on bank holidays. The Balloonagh venue remains the same throughout the week, so anyone who has attended one of the group's other lunchtime meetings will recognise the room straight away.
Can anyone attend this meeting
No. This is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, kept for people who share a desire to stop drinking, rather than being open to family, friends or professionals who simply want to observe.
Is there a cost or do I need to book a place
No. Like every AA meeting it is free to attend and there is no booking system, so you can simply arrive shortly before the start time.
Does the group meet every week without exception
Not quite. The group does not meet on bank holidays, so it is worth checking the calendar before travelling on a bank holiday Monday or similar date.
