The Tooting Thursday group meets each week at the Church Main Hall inside Tooting United Reformed Church, just off Rookstone Road in Wandsworth. Starting at 7.15pm and running for an hour and a quarter, this Narcotics Anonymous meeting follows a speaker and share format, with an Experience, Strength and Hope main chair most weeks and a step meeting on the first Thursday of the month. To find the hall, head 30 metres down Rookstone Road on the left as you come from Mitcham Road, and look for the glass doors. Children are welcome if supervised and wearing headphones, and dogs may come along kept on a lead. The venue is wheelchair accessible. Note that the hall closes on days when elections are held here.
Can I come along if I'm new to Narcotics Anonymous?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and professionals. It's aimed at anyone with a desire to stop using drugs, and newcomers are always welcome to simply turn up and listen.
Do I need to book, and is there a charge?
There's no need to book and no cost to attend. NA meetings are free and run by members. A voluntary contribution helps cover room hire and refreshments, but you never have to give anything.
How do I get there, and can I bring children or my dog?
It's a five-minute walk from Tooting Broadway tube. The hall is wheelchair accessible. Children are welcome if supervised and wearing headphones, and dogs are welcome kept on a lead. Do check ahead on election days, as the venue closes then.
