Togher Thursday

Despite its name, the Togher group now meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm, at the Ballyphehane/Togher Community Development Project building, in the Band Room on Friars Walk, Ballyphehane, Cork. The meeting lasts around an hour and is part of Al-Anon Family Groups, which supports anyone whose life has been affected by someone else's drinking, whether they are a partner, parent, adult child, sibling or friend. Being an open meeting, it welcomes newcomers and visitors without requiring any prior connection to Al-Anon, and no one is expected to speak unless they wish to. The Band Room at the Ballyphehane/Togher centre is a familiar community space for people from both the Togher and Ballyphehane areas of Cork city.
