Tradition Meeting last Thursday of the Month

About this meeting

On Thursdays at 8.30pm, Thurles meets at the Tipperary Centre for Independent Living, Unit 2 Thurles Business Centre, Stradavoher, Co. Tipperary. The group's notes explain that the last Thursday of each month is set aside as a Tradition meeting, so most weeks follow the group's usual format while that particular week focuses on the Twelve Traditions instead. It is a closed Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, meaning it is for AA members and anyone else with a desire to stop drinking rather than the general public. There is no charge and no booking needed. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for this venue.

Common questions

Is every Thursday meeting the same format?

Not quite. The group's notes say the last Thursday of each month is a dedicated Tradition meeting, while other Thursdays follow the usual format.

Is this meeting open to anyone, or is it closed?

It is a closed meeting, so it is for AA members and anyone else with a desire to stop drinking, rather than the general public, family members or professionals wanting to observe.

Is there a cost to attend, or do I need to book?

No. Like all AA meetings, it is free to attend and there is no need to book a place. Just arrive a few minutes before the start time.
