The Spirit Of Recovery

The Spirit Of Recovery meets in the Main Hall at Acocks Green Methodist Church every Friday at 7pm, an hour-and-a-half topic meeting built around a spiritual principle. A twenty-minute main share opens the meeting, followed by shorter three-minute contributions from the group. Street parking is available outside, and the venue is served by the 4A and 11 buses. It is an open meeting, so anyone affected by drug use, including family and friends, is welcome to sit in, not only those with a desire to stop using drugs themselves. The Main Hall is wheelchair accessible, and attendance chits can be signed for anyone needing evidence for court, probation or treatment. The topic format tends to appeal to people who enjoy reflecting on a specific principle each week.
