A second Monday meeting also runs at St Patrick's University Hospital on James Street, Dublin 8, this time at 8pm as a Beginner meeting for the St. Patrick's Hospital Group. Unlike the open session held elsewhere in the building, this one is closed, meaning it is for people who have a desire to stop drinking rather than an audience for observers. The Beginner format is aimed squarely at those newer to the programme, with an emphasis on the basics of AA rather than in-depth step work. Parking on the hospital grounds is EUR2.50 per hour, with the first ten minutes free, so it is worth timing your arrival if you are driving. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for this meeting room. Attendance is free throughout, and nobody is asked to sign up in advance.
