St Helens

Every Thursday at 7.15pm, Gamblers Anonymous meets in St Helens at the Deafness Resource Centre on Dentons Green Lane, in the Denton's Green part of town. The meeting runs for two hours and is open to anyone affected by gambling, whether that's someone with a desire to stop gambling themselves, or a partner, parent or friend who wants to understand more. Members work through the twelve steps together, sharing their own experience in an atmosphere of confidentiality and mutual support rather than judgement. There is no cost to attend and no need to book a place in advance; simply arrive a few minutes before quarter past seven and ask for the group. With two hours set aside, there's time for both newcomers and long-standing members to speak.
