Who can attend this meeting?

This is a closed meeting, which means it's for people who have a desire to stop eating compulsively. It isn't open to family, friends or observers. If that describes you, you're welcome to come along, whether you've been to OA before or this is your first time.

Do I need to book or pay anything?

No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. OA has no dues or fees and is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a small voluntary donation may be passed around, but you never have to give anything, especially when you're new.

What happens at an OA meeting?

Members share their experience of recovery from compulsive eating using the twelve steps. You can simply listen, and there's no pressure to talk. To ask anything in advance, you can contact Catherine, or reach the Spirit of Hope Intergroup helpline.
