Shiremoor

The Shiremoor meeting meets on Tuesday evenings at St Mark's Church on Brenkley Ave, running for an hour and a half from seven o'clock. It is an open meeting, so anyone with an interest in recovery from a desire to stop drinking can attend alongside AA members. No chit system is offered here. Wheelchair access has not been confirmed for the church, and hearing loop provision is similarly unconfirmed, so members with additional needs are encouraged to contact the group ahead of a first visit. Shiremoor sits on the northern edge of Newcastle upon Tyne, giving members in that part of the city and neighbouring North Tyneside a regular Tuesday evening option.
