Venue Info: The Meeting is Held Downstairs and to the Right as you Walk through Front Door This is a Literature Meeting Covering the Basic Text.
This Narcotics Anonymous group gathers every Monday evening at Shipley Baptist Church on New Kirkgate, meeting from 18:30 for around an hour. It follows a Living Clean study format, working through NA literature and the Basic Text together. Reading and discussing the words as a group can make the ideas easier to take in, whether you're brand new or have been coming to meetings for years. When you arrive, the meeting room is downstairs and to the right as you come through the front door. As an open meeting, it welcomes not only those who want to stop using, but also family members, friends and anyone with an interest in how NA works. You're welcome to simply turn up and sit in.
Who can come to this meeting?
This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome. That includes people with a desire to stop using drugs, as well as family, friends and professionals who want to understand more about NA. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using.
Do I need to book or pay?
No. NA meetings are always free and there's no booking. Just turn up on a Monday for the 18:30 start. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a small voluntary donation may be passed round, but nobody is obliged to give anything.
Where exactly is the meeting held in the building?
The meeting takes place inside Shipley Baptist Church on New Kirkgate (BD18 3QY). As you walk through the front door, head downstairs and the room is to the right.
