Every Saturday evening in central Birkenhead, this Narcotics Anonymous group meets at the Recovery Hub above Nightingales Cafe on Argyle Street. Starting at 7.30pm and running for around an hour and a half, it follows a speaker format, where a member shares their experience of recovery before the meeting opens up. The meeting room is upstairs, and you'll find the door at the side of the building. Parking is available nearby, and if you're travelling by bus you're well placed: Birkenhead bus station is roughly a minute's walk away, served by local routes 41, 42 and the number 1, plus the 437, 472 and 423 from Liverpool. As an open meeting, it welcomes anyone with an interest in NA recovery.
Who can come to this meeting?
This is an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and professionals. If you have a desire to stop using drugs, you'll be met without judgement. Newcomers can simply turn up and listen.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket may be passed round, but you're never expected to give anything, especially on your first visit.
