About this meeting

The Rosscarbery Group runs a members-only Alcoholics Anonymous meeting every Wednesday at 8.30pm at the Rosscarbery Social Centre on Barrack Lane, in this small West Cork town. Because it is a closed meeting, attendance is limited to people who have a desire to stop drinking, rather than an open session for family, friends or professionals. The Social Centre also hosts the group's Saturday and Sunday meetings, making it a regular midweek fixture for the surrounding area. Wheelchair access at the venue has not been confirmed, so anyone with mobility needs should contact the centre ahead of the meeting to check. There is no cost involved and, as with all AA meetings, no need to book a place.

Common questions

Can I attend if I am not affected by drink myself?

This particular meeting is members-only, held for people who have a desire to stop drinking, so it is not an open meeting for supporters.

Is there a fee to attend or a booking system?

No, it is free and there is no booking, just arrive at the Rosscarbery Social Centre before 8.30pm on Wednesday.

Are there other meetings run by this group?

Yes, the Rosscarbery Group also meets on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings at the same Social Centre.
