Roscrea Legion Hall's Monday meeting runs at 1pm on Abbey Street, Roscrea, giving a lunchtime slot for anyone who cannot manage an evening session. No set format is used, so members share openly during the hour. It is a members-only Alcoholics Anonymous meeting, kept for those with a desire to stop drinking, though a first-time attender needs no prior introduction to come along. There is no charge and no need to book ahead. Wheelchair access at the Legion Hall has not been confirmed, so anyone with mobility needs should contact the group beforehand. Roscrea sits on the Tipperary side of the border with Co. Offaly, making the hall a convenient stop for members from both counties.
Is there an evening alternative to this lunchtime meeting
The group also meets on Saturday evenings at the same Legion Hall, alongside this Monday lunchtime session.
Can a newcomer attend the Monday meeting
Yes, although it is members-only, that means anyone with a desire to stop drinking, including someone attending for the first time.
Is the Legion Hall wheelchair accessible
This has not been confirmed, so it would be sensible to check with the group in advance if you use a wheelchair.
