On Thursday evenings, Gamblers Anonymous meets at Butterworth Hall Community Centre on New Street in Rochdale. The meeting starts at 7.30pm and runs for two hours, so it typically finishes at around 9.30pm. It is open to anyone, including family members and friends affected by someone else's gambling, and professionals working in the recovery field, as well as people who have a desire to stop gambling themselves. There is no charge for attending and no need to register beforehand; you can simply arrive at the community centre on the night. This weekly meeting gives the Rochdale and Littleborough area a regular, confidential place to share experience of gambling and recovery in the company of others who understand it.
