On Thursdays, the Riverstown Group meets again at 8.30pm in the Old School House, near Little Island in Cork Harbour, for a members-only Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. As a closed meeting it caters for people who have a desire to stop drinking, rather than serving as an open session for supporters or visitors. This midweek gathering sits between the group's Tuesday and Sunday meetings at the same building, giving three weekly options in the area. Whether the Old School House has step-free or wheelchair access has not been confirmed, so anyone with mobility concerns should contact the group ahead of the meeting. There is no charge for attending and no need to book a place in advance.
