Reading Is Fundamental is an LGBTQIA+ Big Book study, meeting every Monday at 7.30pm at the All Saints Centre on Haggerston Road in Hackney for an hour. The group works through Alcoholics Anonymous, the Big Book that gives AA its programme, in the company of LGBTQIA+ people in recovery, which many find makes honest sharing easier. It is a closed meeting, which simply means it is for people who have, or think they may have, a desire to stop drinking, rather than for observers; newcomers who fit that description are very welcome, whether or not they have read a word of the book. There is nothing to pay and no booking needed.
