Rainbow Warriors is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting that gathers every Wednesday at 7pm in Longstone/Slateford Church, on Kingsknowe Road North in Edinburgh's south-west, handy for Currie, Juniper Green and Balerno. Running for an hour and a quarter, the format centres on an Experience, Strength and Hope main share every week, with a speaker leading and space for members to share in turn. It's an LGBT+ meeting and an open one, so anyone is welcome. Parking is available at the venue, and buses 33, 34 and 36 stop nearby. Children are welcome; if you bring them, please keep them supervised and wearing headphones during the meeting. Pets are welcome too. The building is wheelchair accessible.
Who can come to this meeting?
This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and professionals. As an NA meeting, it's for anyone with a desire to stop using drugs, and as an LGBT+ meeting it offers a comfortable space while remaining open to all. Children and pets are welcome; children should be supervised and wearing headphones.
Do I need to book, and is there a cost?
No booking is needed and there's no charge to attend. Just turn up on the Wednesday. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a small voluntary donation may be passed round, but you never have to give anything, especially on a first visit.
How do I get there and is it accessible?
The venue is at 52 Kingsknowe Road North, EH14 2DF. Parking is available on site, and bus routes 33, 34 and 36 stop nearby. The building is wheelchair accessible.
