About this meeting

Primary Purpose is an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Fulwood, north Preston, held every Wednesday at 8pm at Fulwood Methodist Church on Watling Street Road — use the entrance at the rear on Highgate Avenue. The name comes from AA's own definition of itself: a fellowship whose primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety. This is a closed meeting, reserved for anyone with a desire to stop drinking, which keeps the room a protected space for honest sharing. The meeting runs for an hour and a half and the venue is wheelchair accessible.

Common questions

Which entrance do I use?

What does 'closed meeting' mean?
