Penrith Library's Meeting Room also hosts a Friday evening session at 7.30pm, running for an hour and a half, at the same St Andrew's Churchyard address as the Tuesday meeting. Entry is again via the white side door rather than the library's main frontage. It is open to anyone, including family, friends and professionals as well as people with a desire to stop drinking. A chit system is available, so attendance slips can be signed for court, probation or treatment purposes. The room is wheelchair accessible. There is no charge to attend and no booking required, as with every AA meeting, so newcomers can simply arrive shortly before half past seven.
