The Format of the Meeting is a Chair on Parents in Recovery.
Parents In Recovery is a Narcotics Anonymous meeting held every Thursday evening in Weston-super-Mare, running from 7pm for an hour and a half. It takes place in the room at the back of Clarence Park Baptist Church on Walliscote Road. As the name suggests, the format centres on a chair sharing about parenting in recovery, followed by a topic and open sharing. This is an open meeting, so anyone with an interest in NA is welcome to come along. Children are welcome, and so are pets, which makes it a practical option if you can't easily arrange childcare. The venue is wheelchair accessible. If you're new, there's no need to prepare anything or announce yourself before you arrive.
Can I come if I've never been to a meeting before?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone curious about NA. Narcotics Anonymous is for people with a desire to stop using drugs, and newcomers are always welcome. You don't need to speak or share unless you want to.
Do I need to book, and is there a cost?
There's no booking and no charge to attend. NA meetings are free, funded by voluntary contributions from members. Just turn up on Thursday at 7pm at the back room of Clarence Park Baptist Church.
Can I bring my children or a pet?
Yes. Children are welcome at this meeting, which is helpful if childcare is hard to arrange, and pets are welcome too. The venue is also wheelchair accessible.
