Newport Pagnell: Bill & Bob’s Excellent Adventure

The Saturday edition of Bill & Bob's Excellent Adventure meets at 12.30pm at St Bede's Church, 39 High Street, Newport Pagnell, and runs for an hour. Named for Bill W and Dr Bob, the founders of Alcoholics Anonymous, the group also meets on Thursday evenings at the same church, so between the two there is a meeting here twice a week. Saturday lunchtime suits people whose weekends are harder than their weekdays, and the open format means anyone can attend: those with a desire to stop drinking, plus family, friends and professionals. The church has wheelchair access. There is no charge, no booking and no expectation that you say a word; listening is participation enough.
