Meeting in the Cafe.
Every Monday evening at 8pm, Narcotics Anonymous meets at the SCCUL Enterprise Centre in Ballybane, on the eastern side of Galway city. The gathering takes place in the centre's cafe, and runs for an hour. This is a members' meeting, meaning it's for people who share a desire to stop using drugs. If that's you, you'll find people here who understand exactly what you're going through and who've found a way forward through the NA programme. There's no need to say much your first time, and no pressure to speak at all. Coming along to listen is a perfectly good place to begin. The Castlepark Road address is served by local bus routes into the Ballybane area, making it reachable from across the city.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a closed meeting, which means it's for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. It isn't open to family members, friends or observers. If you think NA might help you, you're welcome to come along, whether or not you've stopped using yet.
Do I need to book or pay?
No. NA meetings are always free and there's no booking. Just turn up to the cafe at the SCCUL Enterprise Centre before 8pm on Monday. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket may be passed round, but you're never expected to give anything, especially at your first meeting.
Where exactly is the meeting held?
The meeting takes place in the cafe within the SCCUL Enterprise Centre on Castlepark Road, Ballybane. Head into the centre and look for the cafe area. Step-free access hasn't been confirmed, so if you have specific access needs it's worth checking ahead.
