Maidstone AA For Beginners is an open meeting held every Tuesday evening at 7pm on Marsham Street, running for an hour and a half. It is designed with newcomers in mind, giving people new to Alcoholics Anonymous, or new to this particular fellowship after trying other approaches, a gentler introduction to how meetings work. Anyone can attend, including family, friends and professionals, not only those with a desire to stop drinking themselves. The Marsham Street venue is wheelchair accessible and also supports hearing loop provision for anyone who is deaf or hard of hearing. A chit system is available too, for anyone needing attendance confirmed for court, probation or treatment purposes.
