About this meeting

Macclesfield message meets every Monday at 7pm at St Peter's Church in Macclesfield, as a Narcotics Anonymous meeting. Narcotics Anonymous's sole membership requirement applies here too: a desire to stop using drugs. Narcotics Anonymous is a non-professional, self-supporting fellowship of people who meet regularly to help one another stay clean. Attendance is free, and nobody is asked to sign up in advance or give their details beforehand. The meeting is run entirely by its own members, in the peer-support tradition the fellowship has followed for decades.

Common questions

Do I have to have been clean for a while to attend?

No. People attend at every stage of recovery, including on their very first day, as long as they have a desire to stop using drugs.

Do I need to sign up beforehand?

No. You can simply arrive on the day; there is no registration, no fee, and no obligation to speak.

What happens if it is my first time?

You are welcome to simply listen if you would rather not share. Meetings are led by members in recovery, and nobody is put on the spot.
