Each Wednesday evening the Westway group gathers at The Tabernacle on Powis Square in Notting Hill, part of Kensington and Chelsea. Meeting from 18:00 in the upstairs room, this Overeaters Anonymous group offers a steady, welcoming space to work the OA programme alongside others who understand. OA is a fellowship for anyone with a desire to stop eating compulsively, and this is an open meeting, so newcomers, family members, friends and interested professionals are all welcome to sit in. There's no requirement to speak or share until you feel ready. If you'd like to know more before arriving, Marta and Andy are listed as local contacts. The room is upstairs, so bear that in mind for access. Just turn up a few minutes early.
Who can come to this meeting?
Anyone. As an open Overeaters Anonymous meeting, it welcomes people with a desire to stop eating compulsively, as well as family, friends and professionals who want to learn about OA. You're welcome to come simply to listen.
Do I need to book or pay?
No. OA meetings are free to attend and there's no booking. Just arrive at The Tabernacle for 18:00 on Wednesday and make your way to the upstairs room. A voluntary collection covers running costs, but you needn't give anything, especially at your first meeting.
Where exactly is the meeting held?
At The Tabernacle, 35 Powis Square, W11 2AY, in the Notting Hill area of Kensington and Chelsea. The group uses the upstairs room, so there are stairs to reach it. Step-free access hasn't been confirmed, so contact Marta or Andy beforehand if you need to check.
