A second weekly meeting is held in the same Methodist Church on Bishop Street, this time on Thursday evenings at 6.30pm, entered by the side entrance and running for about an hour. Like the Monday meeting at this venue, it is open to anyone with an interest in Alcoholics Anonymous, including family, friends and professionals, alongside those with a desire to stop drinking. Whether the church has wheelchair access has not been confirmed, so it is worth checking with the group ahead of your visit if this matters to you. No chit system is available at this meeting. Bishop Street is close to the city centre.
