Kiltyclogher

Kiltyclogher's Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is held on Saturdays at 8.30pm in the New Ballagh Centre, actually across the county line in Rossinver, Co. Leitrim, close to the Sligo border country the group's name reflects. It is a closed meeting, intended for those with a desire to stop drinking, a principle drawn from AA's Third Tradition rather than a restriction on newcomers who recognise that description in themselves. As with other AA meetings, members share their own stories and support one another without any professional facilitation. Saturday evening gives people in this rural stretch of the north-west a weekend option rather than relying solely on weekday meetings elsewhere. Attendance is free, with no booking or referral needed, and the meeting is fully run by its own members.
