This is a speaker meeting. Bus Routes: 75, 7, 8, M3
The Keep Coming Back group meets every Monday evening at Possilpark Parish Church on Saracen Street in the north of Glasgow. Doors open for a 7pm start and the meeting runs for an hour. This is a speaker meeting, where a member shares their experience before the room opens up for sharing, held by candlelight for a quieter, more reflective feel. It's an open Narcotics Anonymous meeting, so anyone is welcome, whether you're coming for yourself or supporting someone else. There's parking available at the venue, and if you're travelling by bus the 75, 7, 8 and M3 routes all serve the area. No need to book or let anyone know in advance, just turn up.
Can I come along if I'm not sure NA is for me?
Yes. This is an open meeting, so anyone is welcome, including family, friends and anyone simply curious. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using drugs. Come and listen; there's no pressure to speak or share anything.
Do I need to book, and is there a cost?
There's no booking and no charge to attend. NA is self-supporting through members' own contributions, so a basket is usually passed round, but giving is entirely voluntary and never expected of newcomers. Just turn up before the 7pm start.
What happens at a speaker meeting?
A member shares their story of recovery for part of the meeting, then the room opens up for others to share if they wish. This one is held by candlelight. The venue has parking, and buses 75, 7, 8 and M3 stop nearby.
