Doors open 15 minutes before the meeting starts
The Just For Today group meets every Monday at 11am at the Soho Recovery Centre on Charing Cross Road, right in the heart of Westminster. It runs for an hour and doors open fifteen minutes beforehand, so there's time to settle in with a cup of tea before things begin. This is a members' meeting for people with a desire to stop using drugs, blending readings from the Basic Text with a literature study and time for members to share their own experience. Children are welcome, though pets aren't. If you're new, arriving a little early gives you the chance to find a seat without any fuss. The format is relaxed and the focus stays firmly on staying clean, one day at a time.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a closed meeting, which simply means it's for people who have a desire to stop using drugs. Family or friends who don't share that desire would be better suited to an open NA meeting. Children are welcome, but please note pets aren't permitted.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. Like all Narcotics Anonymous meetings, this one is free to attend and there's no need to book. Just turn up. Doors open fifteen minutes before the 11am start, so you can arrive a little early and get comfortable.
What happens during the meeting?
It's a mix of reading from the NA Basic Text, a short literature study and members sharing their own experience of staying clean. It lasts about an hour. Just listening is completely fine if you'd rather not speak your first time.
