The Just For Today group meets every Tuesday evening in Bognor Regis, gathering at the Outreach Centre on Ellasdale Road from 8pm for an hour. As the name suggests, the format is a study of the Just For Today book, with the group reading and reflecting on a daily meditation before sharing how it applies to staying clean. It's a steady, focused way to spend an evening among people who understand what recovery from drug use asks of you. This is an open meeting, so alongside NA members you'll find family, friends and anyone curious about the fellowship. If it's your first time, there's no need to say anything or sign up in advance — just turn up, find a seat and listen.
Can I come along if I'm not sure I belong here yet?
Yes. This is an open meeting, which means anyone is welcome, including newcomers who are still working things out, as well as family, friends and professionals. The only requirement for NA membership is a desire to stop using drugs. You can simply listen if you'd rather not share.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. NA runs on voluntary contributions from members to cover costs like room hire, so a small donation is welcome if you can, but it's never expected, especially from newcomers.
What happens at a Just For Today book study?
The group reads a short daily entry from the Just For Today meditation book, then members take turns sharing how the reading connects to their own experience of staying clean. It runs for about an hour, starting at 8pm.
