Holytown

The Holytown group meets on Tuesday evenings at 8pm at the Michael Sherry Memorial Centre on Main Street in Holytown, near Motherwell, and the meeting runs for a full two hours, longer than many in the area. It is closed, meaning it is set aside for people who have a desire to stop drinking rather than family, friends or professionals wanting to attend. There is no charge and nothing to book, you can simply arrive before eight. The centre is wheelchair accessible, and a chit system operates for anyone who needs a signed attendance slip for court, probation or a treatment programme. The longer format gives more room for people to share in depth than a standard ninety-minute meeting allows.
