Also meeting at Southwell House in Highbridge on Friday evenings from 7.30pm, the Topic meeting runs for around ninety minutes and follows a chosen theme each week rather than open-ended sharing. It is an open meeting, so newcomers, visitors and family members can attend alongside regular members. The venue, reached via the car park off Market Street behind the St John's Ambulance headquarters on Bank Street, offers wheelchair access, and a chit system operates here to help members mark milestones in their recovery. Working from a set topic gives attendees a starting point for discussing their desire to stop drinking, rather than leaving the direction of the meeting entirely open to whoever wishes to speak first.
