Who can attend, and do I need to bring the person whose drinking has affected me?

Al-Anon Family Groups is for people whose lives are, or have been, affected by someone else's drinking, not for the person who drinks. Members include partners, parents, adult children, other relatives and friends. This particular meeting is open, so anyone in that situation, including newcomers, is welcome to sit in. No, not at all. Al-Anon is about your own experience and wellbeing, so attending alone is normal and expected. The relative or friend concerned is not required to be there, or even aware of it.

How do I join, and is there a fee?

There is no charge and no need to book. Just come along on Wednesday for the 7pm start; you can simply take a seat when you arrive. The meeting lasts around an hour and a half.
