Hertford Candlelit Chair

Candlelit Chair brings a gentler atmosphere to Monday nights in Hertford: an AA meeting held by candlelight at 7.30pm at St Joseph's Church, 23 St John's Street, running for an hour and a half. A chair meeting means one member tells their story at some length, followed by others sharing, which is often the easiest format for a newcomer to sit with, since you can simply listen to someone else describe what drinking did to them and what changed. It is an open meeting, so family, friends and professionals are welcome as well as anyone with a desire to stop drinking. The church is wheelchair accessible, and as ever there is no charge and no booking.
