Grimsby's Friday night meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous is held at 7pm at St Andrew's Church, 2B Albion Street, and runs for an hour and a half. It is an open meeting, so the room is not limited to people who want to stop drinking: family members, friends and professionals are equally welcome, and plenty of people attend their first meeting with someone alongside them for moral support. The relatively early 7pm start means you are done by half past eight, with the evening still ahead of you. St Andrew's is wheelchair accessible. In common with every AA meeting there is no charge and no booking; you can simply walk in and take a seat.
