Gam-Anon is for the partners, parents, adult children and friends of people affected by someone else's gambling, offering a place to talk honestly about the impact it has had on their own life. The meeting is open, so anyone in that position is welcome, whether the gambling is still happening or has stopped. There is no requirement to have any connection to Gamblers Anonymous or to bring the person who gambles, and many people attend entirely on their own. Newcomers can simply arrive on the night; there is no referral process and nothing to sign up for in advance.
