Parkhead's Thursday Gamblers Anonymous meeting is a daytime session, starting at 2pm and running for an hour and 45 minutes at the Congregational Church on Westmuir Street in Glasgow's east end. Because it's held in the afternoon rather than the evening, it can suit people whose work or caring commitments make evening meetings difficult. The meeting is open, so anyone affected by gambling, including partners, parents and friends, is welcome alongside people wanting to stop gambling themselves. Gamblers Anonymous doesn't charge for meetings and there's no need to book a place, you can simply arrive shortly before 2pm. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop gambling. A second meeting is held at the same church on Friday mornings.
