GA Blackhill

St Philomena RC Church on Royston Road in Blackhill, Glasgow, hosts a weekly Gamblers Anonymous meeting on Wednesday evenings, starting at 7pm and running for two hours until around 9pm. It is an open meeting, so anyone can attend, including family members and friends of someone affected by gambling, and professionals, alongside people with a desire to stop gambling themselves. There is no fee for attending and no need to book a place in advance; newcomers can simply arrive at the church on the night. As a consistent weekly gathering, it gives Blackhill and the surrounding north-east Glasgow area a confidential space to share experience and support one another.
