Families Anonymous Inverness

Families Anonymous meets in Inverness every Wednesday at 7.30pm, for an hour and a half, at Beechwood House on Old Perth Road. The group offers support to family and friends whose lives have been affected by a loved one's drug use or related behavioural problems, whether a partner, parent, adult child or close friend. There is no expectation to bring the person you're concerned about; many members attend entirely on their own, finding it useful just to talk with others who understand what the worry and unpredictability feel like. Meetings draw on the twelve steps to help members focus on their own wellbeing rather than trying to control someone else. It's open to anyone in this position, free to attend, and there's no need to book ahead; just come along shortly before half past seven.
