Dundee Wielka Ksiega is a Polish-speaking AA meeting held on Sunday evenings at 6pm in Menzieshill Parish Church on Charleston Drive. The name translates as 'Big Book', and the meeting is built around discussion in Polish of AA's core text, giving Polish-speaking members in Dundee a meeting they can attend in their first language rather than translating as they go. It runs for an hour. It's a closed meeting, for people with a desire to stop drinking rather than an open event for visitors. Menzieshill Parish Church is wheelchair accessible. For Polish speakers in Tayside, a meeting run entirely in Polish removes a real barrier that language can otherwise put between someone and their recovery.
