Overeaters Anonymous gathers every Thursday evening at 7pm in the Rutland Centre on Knocklyon Road, Dublin 16. You'll find the group in the Morrin Room, which sits in the garden of the centre rather than the main building. The format changes week to week, taking in Step and Tradition study, speaker meetings and readings from the Big Book; when a month has a fifth Thursday, the group turns to OA literature. This is a members' meeting for anyone with a desire to stop eating compulsively, offering a steady weekly point of contact through the Spirit of Hope Intergroup. If you're new and unsure, Susan can talk you through what to expect before you arrive.
Who can attend this meeting?
This is a closed meeting, meaning it is for people who have a desire to stop eating compulsively. If that describes you, you're welcome to come along and find a seat in the Morrin Room.
Do I need to book or pay anything?
No. There's no booking and no charge to attend. OA is self-supporting through members' own voluntary contributions, so just turn up on the Thursday.
Where exactly is the meeting held?
Look for the Morrin Room, which is located in the garden of the Rutland Centre on Knocklyon Road rather than in the main building. Susan can point you in the right direction if you're unsure.
